Nexuiz is an Arena First Person shooter coming soon to consoles.  Nexuiz is fast paced with extremely competitive game play.  IllFonic brings Alientrap Software's Nexuiz to next-gen gaming consoles around the world while staying true to the game play refined over the years through development.  IllFonic introduces a new Victorian influenced art style that is simultaneously futuristic and sophisticated.  Nexuiz for consoles is powered by CryENGINE 3.

Nexuiz was not without it's controversy, there was longing running feuds with the original creators over the sale of the rights for Illfonic to develop the title.  However, it did get developed and it is a fun, over-the-top, arena shooter that offers players a huge number of 'mutators' that alter the rules of the game while you play, everything from the usual fare of increased damage, invisibility, gravity changes all the way to bizarre palette changes to the world, bumper cars which sees players bouncing off each other, teleport all enemies to your location and so on... these are just a few of over 100.  Battles can be insanely fun.

It was definitely fun to work on this project, if not at times stressful.  I helped design and implement a large number of the mutators in Flowgraph, designed and built 6 of the levels (Vertigo, Crash, Sanctuary, Station, Overlook and Refinery) as well as a number of other minor elements, particle effects, achievement implementation and writing the manual.
